2nd July 2014

On 2nd July 2014 a business meeting with Vakhtang Kolbaia, the Acting Chairman of the Autonomous Region of Abkhazia was held at the offices of the Autonomous Region of Abkhazia. Ketevan Adamia, Chairperson of The Mothers Committee, initiated the meeting, which was supported by Her Royal Highness Princess Anna Bagrationi-Gruzinski. Giorgi Murvanidze, Director of Heifer, Gia Gvazava, Chairperson of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Region of Abkhazia, Valeri Basaria, from the Department of Agriculture, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of the Autonomous Region of Abkhazia, Kakha Koridze, Chancellor of the Royal House of Georgia and several other persons attended this business meeting. The participants got acquainted with the existing government projects and programmes being implemented by the Autonomous Region of Abkhazia. These projects are intended to improve the living conditions of people as well as to encourage employment opportunities, particularly in western Georgia. Participants for the meeting agreed on the implementation of joint projects.

5th September 2014

Today, at the Hotel Vere Palace, in Tbilisi, a meeting was held with the leadership of the head office of the International Organization Heifer (USA). The meeting, through the initiative of HRH Princess Anna Bagrationi-Gruzinski, was organized by the Committee of Mothers. The meeting was attended by the Acting Prime Minister of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Vakhtang Kolbaya, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Georgia, David Gelegashvili, the representative of the Urban Service Policy, the Mayor of Tbilisi Irakli Zhvania, the Chancellor of the Royal House of Georgia, Kakha Koridze, and the representative of the Committee of Mothers, Ketevan Adamia.





Visit by HRH Crown Prince Nugzar of Georgia to Estonia, 19-20 May 2014

The direct descendant in the male line of the last Georgian King (George XII), HRH Crown Prince Nugzar Bagrationi-Gruzinski, arrived in Estonia on 19 May 2014 for a two-day visit. He arrived in Estonia at the invitation of Kristiina Ojuland, Member of the European Parliament.

The Royal guest of honour was invited for an official dinner at the Dominic Restaurant. After dinner, he went for a tour around the old town centre and was accompanied by the famous local historian Yuri Kuuskemaa. The Crown Prince gave a welcoming speech to the representatives of the national minorities at Palmse Manor.

On the following day, the Crown Prince met members of the Estonian Parliament (the unicameral Riigikogu). Amongst other distinguished persons, he met Mart Laar, an Estonian statesman and historian, Eerik-Niiles Kross, an Estonian diplomat, intelligence chief, entrepreneur and politician, as well as Kristiina Ojuland. He also met Tunne Kelam, an Estonian politician and Member of the European Parliament for the IRL (Pro Patria and Res Publica Union), which forms part of the European People's Party.

In the afternoon, His Royal Highness Prince Nugzar also had a courtesy meeting with the representatives of the company Liviko AS.

During this visit, His Royal Highness was accompanied by the Chancellor of the Royal House, His Excellency Kakha Koridze.




Private audience with His Most Divine All Holiness Bartholomew I

On August 27 2015 His Royal Highness Crown Prince Nugzar Bagrationi-Gruzinsky, by the Grace of God, Head of the Royal House of Georgia, and Heir to the Throne of Georgia, met with His Most Divine All Holiness BARTHOLOMEW I, Archbishop of Constantinople, New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch during a private audience at the Patriarchal Palace at the Phanar in Istanbul (TR). During this audience the Crown Prince honoured His All Holiness with the Royal Order of St. King David the Psalmist. The Most Reverend Athenagoras, Metropolitan-Archbishop of Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Venezuela, and the Islands of the Caribbean, who is also the President of the Regional Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of Latin America, reported that His All Holiness was extremely pleased and expressed his profound gratitude to the Crown Prince. His All Holiness then extended his warmest and heartfelt wishes and gifts to the Crown Prince, who had celebrated his 65th birthday on 25 August.

Visit of HRH Crown Prince Nugzar of Georgia to the Holy Land, September 2016

In September 2016 the Royal Family of Georgia, headed by Crown Prince Nugzar, visited the Holy Land. During this pilgrimage the Crown Prince had several important meetings, including a visit to His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine. Crown Prince Nugzar bestowed upon the Patriarch the highest Dynastic Order of St. King David the Psalmist, which was received with so much gratitude by the Patriarch. From his end His Beatitude donated to the Royal Family holy icons and mementos while he also blessed the members of the Royal Family. During this meeting His Beatitude and His Royal Highness reflected on the custody and preservation of the Holy Sites. His Beatitude bestowed on Prince Nugzar the honour of Jerusalem Pilgrim, who is now also styled as Pilgrim Prince.

The Crown Prince of Georgia also received an official Attestation of Pilgrimage from the State of Israel. The certificate was signed by the Minister of Tourism and the Mayor of the City of Jerusalem. During this same visit to the Holy Land HRH Prince Nugzar Bagrationi-Gruzinski received a Certificate of Pilgrimage from the Custodia Terrae Sanctae; the certificate is signed by the Reverend Sergio Galdi OFM, current Secretary of the Custody.

Another important meeting was at the Custos of the Holy Land. Here, HRH Pilgrim Prince Nugzar Bagrationi-Gruzinski also received the Jerusalem Pilgrim's Gold Cross, which is awarded to selected pilgrims to the Holy Land by the Pope in recognition for meritorious work and service. The medal can only be conferred at the office of the Custody of the Holy Land in Jerusalem.

The Georgian Royal family has attended for the Ballo dei 100 e non più 100 on the 14th of April 2018 in the beautiful city of Casale Monferrato, in Northern Italy. Princess Anna also attended for the same occasion last year. This year she gave a key note speech introducing her father, the current Head of the Royal House of Georgia.















The Royal House of Georgia would like to announce the appointment of a new Delegate for the United States of America, Mr Heath Alan Scott. The Head of the Royal House of Georgia, HRH Crown Prince Nugzar, would like to express his sincere gratitude for the outgoing Delegate, His Honour Raindi Guye William Pennington, for his long and honourable service rendered over the years. At the same time, Raindi Pennington will continue to act as Adviser for the Royal House.
